This course will develop knowledge and provide guidance on implementing the Montessori Curriculum for Excellence for those working with children in Montessori settings.

This course is aimed at all childcare practitioners, particularly those who wish to develop their knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence.

Meet your Trainer: Marion Meechan

Following a successful career in the retail trade, Marion changed direction and became involved in Montessori nursery education and care.

She has run and owned a small nursery school in Surrey since 1996. Having trained at the London Montessori Centre in 1997 and various Universities to obtain her Early Years Teacher Status, she has now gone onto become a freelance trainer at Montessori Centre International in 2011.

Her passions are centred around Child development and Numeracy & Arithmetic, both subjects she has taught to the majority of the Diploma students’, levels 3 and 4, alongside Contemporary Early Childhood Practice, Child-care and Health, Montessori Philosophy, AEL, and Sensorial.

Alongside this, Marion carried out other roles including IQA, professional placement assessor, as well as having assessed students on their practical presentations and discussions (examinations).
